Former Vice President Mike Pence should probably be the ideal presidential candidate. He’s an intelligent, articulate, and principled man. He’s previously championed the right to life, publicly supported many conservative cultural matters in the past, and repeatedly demonstrated he’s one to reject temptation — whether it is refusing to put himself in a position of dining with other women who aren’t his wife or giving into political pressure to decertify an election.
Pence replied: “That’s not my concern. Tucker, I’ve heard this routine from you before. That’s not my concern.” And then Pence paused — and effectively ended whatever minimal chance he had at the presidency to begin with. He showed everyone exactly why he has no chance at winning the 2024 Republican nomination for president, let alone defeating Joe Biden in the 2024 presidential election.
“I’m running for president in the United States because I think this country is in a lot of trouble. I think Joe Biden has weakened America at home and abroad,” Pence said. “As president of the United States, we’re going to restore law and order in our cities. We’re going to secure our border. We’re going to get this economy moving again.
