Mfiondu Kabengele, Celtics Sign Two-Way Contract - RealGM Wiretap
The Boston Celtics have signed big man Mfiondu Kabengele to a Two-Way contract. Kabengele was one of the Celtics standouts during Summer League.
Kabengele was drafted with the 27th pick of the first round of the 2019 NBA Draft. He was later traded from the LA Clippers to the Sacramento Kings in a salary clearing move for the Clippers in 2021. Last season, the 6-foot-10 forward/center played well for the Rio Grande Valley Vipers of the G League. He averaged 17.5 points, 9.4 rebounds and nearly a block per game for the Vipers.
While playing for the Summer Celtics, Kabengele averaged 14.8 points, 8.2 rebounds and 2.2 blocks in 24.5 minutes per game.
