One man is in the hospital, while another went to jail, after they and others ignored double red flags on Panama City Beach Wednesday evening., Bay County deputies were dispatched on swimmer in distress call about 6 p.m. Wednesday. Double red flags were posted Wednesday, meaning swimming is prohibited.

While deputies tended to the unconscious man, another man went back into the water, even after being told by deputies to remain on the shore.
