The FDA-cleared device has been used in prescriptive settings for knee pain for several years and now is available to purchase.

“All the muscles that are above the kneecap, whenever you have a knee injury or any kind of knee surgery, all those quadricep muscles immediately shut down,” Coleman said.

Creating a product that didn’t require a prescription and was accessible to a mass audience was key for the brand, as it is reporting 40 million Americans have some sort of knee pain. “We’re going to start with the Motive Health site and then we’re going to build from there,” Coleman explained.to expand its product offerings in the future to treat other conditions and areas of pain.
