A Saskatoon provincial court judge clarified that the media can report Walker's name but not information that could identify two minors in this case.

Last week, the Crown sought a publication ban on the identities of another minor identified as a victim in relation to the new charges; an interim publication ban was in effect. A lawyer for the CBC sought clarification from the court as to whether these bans must exclude Walker’s identity, which led to Baniak’s decision Tuesday.
This summer, Walker and the child were the focus of a two-week search in the Saskatoon area. It ended on Aug. 5 when both were found safe in Oregon City, Ore. Walker was arrested and taken into custody in the U.S., where she faces charges for aggravated identity theft, a felony, and identity theft, a misdemeanour. She was returned to Canada after a U.S. District Court in Oregon consented to her release to Canadian law enforcement.
