Maserati today confirmed that it will unveil the GranCabrio, the convertible version of the GranTurismo, in 2023. Along with that announcement, it revealed the first official photos of the GranCabrio prototype.
Now taking to the streets of Modena for its initial stages of development testing, as we saw recently, the cabriolet’s sleek lines and distinctive grille can be seen even under the camouflage. Seen here sporting tailpipes, this is one of the internal combustion versions of the car, which will also be offered as a fully electric vehicle. Like, we expect powertrains to start a toned down version of the MC20’s twin-turbo V6. The 3.0-liter engine makes 483 hp and 443 lb-ft of torque, and can send the car rocketing to 62 mph in just 3.9 seconds, though the added weight of making this a convertible may slow that acceleration slightly.
