Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene’s husband has filed for divorce from the conservative firebrand, she confirmed Wednesday.
“Marriage is a wonderful thing and I’m a firm believer in it,” Greene told The Post in a statement. “Our society is formed by a husband and wife creating a family to nurture and protect. Together, Perry and I formed our family and raised three great kids. The two were married in Aug. 1995 while Greene was still a student at the University of Georgia. They have three adult children together. According to court documents, Perry Greene said the couple had split up in the past. He wants to divvy up their assets and debts equally, the filing says. Perry Greene said that his wife has been his “best friend” for the last 29 years, calling her “an amazing mom.”
