Manhunt over: San Diego police arrest 30-year-old suspected of shooting officer [Breaking]
A 30-year-old man suspected of shooting and wounding a San Diego officer during a chase in City Heights was arrested Wednesday, ending a weeklong manhunt, police officials said.
San Diego Police Chief David Nisleit identifies the suspect and announces his capture during a news conference at police headquarters on Wednesday, June 14, 2023. Police said the officer spotted a truck on University Avenue near Shiloh Road and soon learned the vehicle had been reported stolen a few days earlier.
On Saturday, the department issued a safety alert to officers that identified Sartor as the shooting suspect and included his mugshot, according to a copy of the alert obtained by the Union-Tribune.
