Man killed in auto-pedestrian crash while on first date
A man was killed early Wednesday while walking during a first date when a speeding vehicle lost control and careened onto the sidewalk near Montrose, officials said.
Officers around 2:25 a.m. responded to a report of a fatal auto-pedestrian crash near the 1200 block of Westheimer Road, Lt. Ronnie Willkens, of the Houston Police Department, told On Scene reporters. They found a man dead at the scene.A woman told police she’d been on a first date with the man, that they’d been at a nearby donut shop and were walking on the sidewalk afterward, Willkens said.
Three people were in the vehicle, Willkens said. They were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
