Officials said Curtis Davis, 44, was found unresponsive in his cell in the George R. Vierno Center at approximately 5 a.m. He was pronounced dead at 5:37 a.m. after receiving medical care, according to the city Department of Correction.Davis had been in custody at Rikers since June 1 on charges of assault with intent to seriously injure with a weapon and was being held on bail of $30,000, court records show.
