A 36-year-old man from Cincinnati, Ohio, lost his life while cliff-jumping from a height of approximately 50 feet at Lake Powell.

On Thursday, July 20 a 36-year-old man lost his life after cliff diving from approximately 50 feet.On the morning of Thursday, July 20, 36-year-old Cory Ryan Ehrnschwender from Cincinnati, Ohio, lost his life while cliff-jumping at Lake Powell.

The National Park Service Glen Canyon Communications Center received a 911 call around 11:43 a.m. on Thursday. The circumstances surrounding the incident are currently under investigation by the Kane County Sheriff’s Office, Utah State Medical Examiner’s Office, and National Park Service. No further information is available at this time.
