Man accused of shooting into Pacific Beach home arrested after 6-hour SWAT standoff [Breaking]
A six-hour SWAT standoff in Pacific Beach ended early Monday when a man suspected of shooting a gun into a neighboring house was arrested, police said.
The incident began shortly before 1 a.m. at a home on Grand Avenue between Gresham and Haines streets, police Lt. Adam Sharki told OnScene TV. Police were called after a resident reported someone had fired a round into his home, Sharki said. No one was injured. Officers found a bullet hole and figured out where the round came from, Sharki said. Police surrounded the suspected shooter’s home and began calling for people to exit the residence. At least one person came out, but a second person remained inside, Sharki said.Residents were evacuated from nearby units, and SWAT officers responded. A police dog was at the scene but was not sent in after the man, Sharki said.
A man came out of the home and was arrested on suspicion of firing at a dwelling shortly after 6:20 a.m. No other details were immediately available.
