JUST IN: An 18-year-old man is in federal custody after Bexar County sheriff’s deputies said he was supplying illegal firearms to a street gang.
Authorities obtained a federal search warrant for Damien Mermella’s residence in the 300 block of La Gloria Street last week after learning he was supplying the illegal weapons.
The weapons that deputies confiscated include three automatic firearms and five additional firearms, some of which were assault rifle-style pistols, deputies said.
