An unsettling new clip from M3GAN shows the killer AI doll overriding her system in the James Wan and Blumhouse-produced horror movie.
M3GAN overrides her controls in an eerie new clip from Blumhouse's upcoming horror flick. Starring Allison Williams and Violet McGraw, M3GAN tells the story of a roboticist named Gemma who becomes the new guardian of Cady after the young girl becomes orphaned. Gemma enlists the help of an AI doll named M3GAN to look after her niece, however, things quickly go awry as the prototype appears to have her own plans.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY Less than a month out from M3GAN's release, a brand new clip showcases some of the killer doll's unsettling capabilities. The clip, shared by Rotten Tomatoes, shows Gemma and Cady having dinner before the pair have a mild disagreement about Cady refusing to eat her vegetables. M3GAN calmly defends Cady before things take somewhat of a sinister turn when Cady grows more upset with her aunt. Check out the clip below.
The team attached to M3GAN also has audiences incredibly excited. Produced by Blumhouse, the expectations surrounding M3GAN are already fairly high, although confirmation that Akela Cooper, the screenwriter behind last year's Malignant, also wrote the screenplay for M3GAN certainly has audiences even more intrigued. If Cooper and Wan are looking to replicate the chaotic but well-received formula of Malignant, audiences seated for M3GAN could be in for a really bizarre treat.
This new clip from M3GAN is an interesting tease for the film's events, as it gives almost nothing away while also hinting at some of M3GAN's capabilities, which are undoubtedly set to wreak havoc as the film progresses. If M3GAN is willing to create a scene for a disagreement on this level, one can only imagine the kind of chaos that will ensue should Cady face a major threat.
