Los Angeles woman identified as one of victims in double-fatal Mission Beach crash [Breaking]
in which she was a passenger was identified Sunday as 39-year-old Los Angeles resident Donna Munoz.
The motorcycle rider who collided with the Prius at high speed was also killed in the crash. San Diego police previously identified him as a 34-year-old man, but his name had not been released as of Sunday. The San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office said Munoz, the front-seat passenger in the Prius, died about an hour after the crash at a hospital despite the efforts of paramedics and hospital staff to try to save her.The double-fatal collision happened around 9 a.m. Thursday when the motorcycle rider, speeding west on Mission Bay Drive, tried to pass the Prius as he approached it from behind, according to police.
