'Moon Garden' director and Worthington grad Ryan Stevens Harris calls the film 'a labor of love.' It will play at Crosswoods Cinema at 9 p.m. Friday.
The film centers on a young girl, Emma , who lies comatose after an accident. Haunted by a ghastly specter that feeds off her tears, Emma must follow her mother's radio-static voice to find her way back to consciousness.
"My real-life daughter … plays the wide-eyed, cherubic little girl lost in her own industrial wonderland. And it still thrills me how she tackled every day as if the film were nothing but a playground built just for her." Harris' wife, Colleen, co-produced and lent her voice to"Moon Garden," singing lilting lullabies throughout the film.
