— Adopting from Dallas Animal Services has been a life-changing experience. With the caring professionalism of the staff at DAS, my husband and I adopted our beloved border collie, Jack, one year ago this month.
As a tribute to the wonderful work of DAS and to celebrate Jack’s anniversary with us, I write this letter to encourage others to adopt a loving, homeless animal from DAS and add new joy to your home.When informed that Jack had tested positive for heartworms and needed extensive treatment, we said we love him already and will take care of him, whatever it takes. Best decision ever!
Although Jack gratefully trusted us when we brought him home, he was frightened by everyone else and fiercely protective. Thanks to excellent behavioral trainer, Samir of SJR K9 Services, who brought out the gentleman in Jack and taught us to understand, calm and work with him, another level of happiness happened for all of us.
Jack is always the smartest one in the room, full of love and such fun. Go now to DAS and rescue your new family member! You’ll be oh so glad you did.— At closing time, I recently drove to Five Star Ford Service Center in Dallas with a very intriguing problem with my Maverick tailgate. It wouldn’t open. I was to embark on a long road trip the next day and I needed to install a truck bed cover. This would not work if I couldn’t open the tailgate.
Three young gentlemen, Preston, Jesse and Samuel, eagerly got to work dismantling the tailgate and fixing the problem within 15 minutes. I want to thank them for permitting me to start my vacation on time!
