Re: “A Supreme shame — Ketanji Brown Jackson’s confirmation hearing tells us how and why American politics is broken,” Wednesday Editorials.The light this editorial was trying to shine on the truly dangerous divisions in our national politic missed the most glaring issue, which is when the then Senate majority leader refused to allow a confirmation hearing on a seated president’s Supreme Court nominee eight months before an election.
I appreciated this op-ed on social media, which listed some encouraging mental health tips for those who are completely absorbed in the “new tool.” One must stay positive, one must be conscious of the way social media is affecting one’s mood and one must remember the real life world still exists. Garfield, in his comic strip on Tuesday, presented the scene beautifully. The famous cat sat down with the remote.
