: a diverse class of rising stars and visionaries you should know, pushing for change in front of and behind the camera. People who believe in the power of storytelling to broaden our perspectives — to explore what’sIt’s an amazing mix of talent: actors who are also producers or writers; directors who are also actors; filmmakers who knew they had found a calling the first time they picked up a camera.
People often ask me about my favorite part of this job. It’s this: meeting people with an incredible amount of creativity, passion, and enthusiasm for their work; giving them platforms to talk about their craft; learning from their stories; and giving opportunities to equally talented writers, interviewers, editors, photographers, and videographers to put this all together in a magical package that ideally translates all of that to you, the audience.
On set, each of them also exuded kindness and warmth, traits that continue to be underrated in Hollywood and fashion. As with the ethos of our class this year, it truly takes a village to produce a package like this — especially in the age of COVID. I want to thank and commend our incredible team for keeping up the enthusiasm and creativity amid many a nasal swab, temperature check, and winter storms that delayed various travels.to date and I couldn’t be happier with how it’s turned out; I hope you feel the same. Like the rest of our New Hollywood Class of 2022, we are just getting started.
