Speaking at a news conference in Woodland Hills on Tuesday, attorney Bradley Gage said the “explanation from the LAPD is untrue” regarding LAPD Officer Houston Tipping’s death.
The family of late police officer Houston Tipping, who served in the Devonshire Division of the Los Angeles Police Department and died during a training incident, shared CT scan images on Tuesday July 5 that they say support their claim that the 32-year-old officer had suffered head injuries.
Both sides agree that the 32-year-old Tipping suffered catastrophic injuries and died after participating in a training scenario.Speaking at a news conference in Woodland Hills on Tuesday, attorney Bradley Gage said the “explanation from the LAPD is untrue” regarding Tipping’s death. Tipping died on May 29, three days after the training accident at the LAPD’s Elysian Park academy.
Last month, Gage filed a damages claim — precursor to a lawsuit — on behalf of Tipping’s mother, Shirley Huffman, alleging that Tipping was beaten by fellow officers in an exercise designed to “simulate a mob.”
