Wealthy homeowners in the Santa Monica Mountains community will face consequences if they're found to be wasting water, Las Virgenes Municipal Water District says.
AGOURA HILLS, Calif. -- Wealthy homeowners in the Santa Monica Mountains community will face consequences if they're found to be wasting water. The Las Virgenes Municipal Water District is now doing more than just issuing fines to those that go over their allotted"water budget."
This water district serves some of the more affluent cities in Southern California. They include Agoura Hills, Calabasas, Hidden Hills, and Westlake Village. And some of these affluent customers are going over their allotted water budget. "What we do for our end of the bargain is ensure water reliability for all of our customers," McNutt said.
