Landon Collins is a new member of the Giants’ practice squad, returning to a team he starred for not too long ago.
“It’s humbling for sure, coming from where you’re at the top bar and you’re coming, I wouldn’t say at the bottom but back to ground one and building your way back up,’’ Collins said Wednesday after his first practice with his new/old team.
“I think the biggest part was the Giants calling me and saying, ‘Come back, come back home,’ ’’ Collins said. “Coming back, most likely hopefully to retire as a Giant, it’s a dream come true, being back here, being back in this atmosphere, being loved and being back on this team is a great opportunity for me to be around these young guys,’’ Collins said. “They keep me young, so it’s awesome.’’ Collins is not old — he is only 28 — and said he wants to show “that I still got it. I’ve been injury prone the past what, two years, three years? That’s my biggest downfall.
