The restaurant will feature traditional Mexican cuisine with local additions and ingredients to reflect the Dallas dining scene.
"We've been hard at work to bring the perfect unapologetically unique dining experience to the heart of Dallas, and we're looking forward to welcoming the community into La Neta," Labbe said in the release.
La Neta Cocina y Lounge's design will be inspired by the jungles in Tulum, Mexico. It will also feature oversized stained glass windows, chandeliers and an art installation by Detroit-based artist Jason Revok. The restaurant will provide seating for 192 guests along with a 22-seat bar and a patio with 40 additional seats.
Founded in 2012, 81/82 Group focuses on dining and nightlife establishments. La Neta Cocina y Lounge's flagship location is in Las Vegas., according to a filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. The outpost would be located within a unique readapted space along Elm Street from Dallas-based Westdale Real Estate Investment & Management Company.
