Screen Rant chats with VampireAcademy stars iamkieronmoore, Andre_kim7, and Andrew Liner about their roles in the peacockTV show and the training required for stunts:
Set in a world of Moroi, Strigoi, and Dhampirs, the first four episodes of Vampire Academy will be available to stream on Peacock starting Thursday, September 15. The show, which is based on the book series by Richelle Mead and produced by Julie Plec and Marguerite MacIntyre, follows Rose Hathaway who is determined to become a Guardian and protect her royal best friend from harm.
Screen Rant: One of the really cool things about Vampire Academy is that there is more than one type of vampire. They all have different impulses and specific roles to play in society. Could you each tell us what you are and what it means for your character? They're the bad vampires of our world. What's really cool about being Moroi, and a Royal Moroi specifically, is the politics you get to play, the classism that's kind of going on in our show. And then, specifically with Christian, is a fire user within the show, and within the books. He's actually a pretty good fire user if I do say so myself. So that's something that all the Moroi have, is one of four different elements that they specialize in.
Kieron Moore: Yeah, we trained. We had a blast. We both come from athletic backgrounds. Drew's more of an athlete than me. I just boxed. Drew has done so many sports. But that was quite interesting for me—the boxing background was implemented into my fights, and we had a fantastic stunt team who trusted us because we were so eager, we all brought something different.
