Suspect vocals, loose choreography and a general lack of showmanship suggested South Korea’s best-selling girl group may not have been ready for real-world primetime, removed from their perfectly manicured music videos.
Flash forward four years, four LPs, five EPs and four world tours, and the members — Jihyo, Momo, Nayeon, Dahyun, Mina, Sana, Tzuyu, Chaeyoung and Jeongyeon — have significantly stepped up their game, finally matching the beaming bombast of their global popularity and torrent of bubblegum anthems.
