Audiences are likely familiar with Woo's American action movies, including Broken Arrow, Face/Off, and Mission: Impossible II. Now, he is set to revisit The Killer with an English language remake.
In a press release from Peacock, it was announced that "celebrated action auteur John Woo returns to reimagine and direct his own classic, The Killer." The original 1989 film, starring Chow Yun-Fat, Sally Yeh, and Danny Lee, follows an assassin who accidentally blinds a nightclub singer, prompting him to take another job, killing a high-level triad boss, to pay for a procedure that will restore the singer's sight.
