John Mayer will bring his guitar heroics to San Francisco in the fall.
The performance is part of a the second leg of his solo tour. The 17-date run begins in Madison Square Garden on Oct. 3 and ends in Los Angeles on Nov. 10. The San Francisco concert is the only other California show, and is scheduled for Nov. 7.
Although the tour is marketed around Mayer's acoustic guitar stylings, the virtuosic musician will also reportedly be wielding his electric guitar and piano. Fans can expect that in addition to his original music, Mayer will also perform a few covers from legendary San Francisco psych-rockers the Grateful Dead. Since 2015, he has been a part of the touring version of the band, dubbed Dead & Company, featuring Bob Weir, Mickey Hart, Bill Kreutzmann, Oteil Burbridge and Jeff Chimenti.
