Jersey Village choosing between incumbent and a new challenger for May 6 mayoral election
, his focuses including ongoing flood mitigation efforts, as well as strong support for local law enforcement, which he describes as his number one priority. Property tax relief and overall growth of Jersey Village are also among his priorities for the city.
Fields’ priorities are lower taxes, letting citizens decide on whether a stadium is built in Jersey Village, and more police visibility, . Fields also wants the planned new City Hall to be built on Lakeview instead of its intended location near U.S. 290., including nearby voting locations in Jersey Village. The election, a collaboration between Jersey Village and Harris County, takes place May 6. Election results will be posted the night of the election on the Jersey Village website.
