Three cars were involved in a crash on the Northwest Side early Sunday morning that left two in critical condition after the Jaguar they were traveling in was split in half. Two of the three drivers allegedly were intoxicated.

The Jaguar careened into a"collapsible crash attenuator" dividing the lanes from the exit, according to a police report. After striking the barrier, the Jaguar spiraled back to the left, landing between the second and third lane of the highway. The Camaro came to a stop on the right-hand shoulder of the road.
