'I knew it was kind of a no-no, but there's not a rule saying it can't happen,' Lemke told the newspaper. 'There's not a law saying I'm going to go to jail for doing something like this.'
, Amber Lemke was hired in 2011 and she led the team to an NCAA championship during the 2015-2016 season. Her husband had been a volunteer assistant with the team until he was officially hired as assistant head coach in 2019.

There's nothing in stone. I guess it's just an ethics code, like we frown upon it, but there's no rule, there's no law broken."
Steve Lemke told the Daily News his affair was discovered after his wife saw a text from the student-athlete on his phone. Ivey said the university supports its student-athletes,"and obviously Amber, with what was going on."
