With Charlie Cox's Daredevil back in the MCU, could Finn Jones' IronFist be next? 🤔 If so, he has costume thoughts 👀 '[S]omething a bit more gritty and urban, I think that feels right. I did kind of like The Defenders style costume...'
Finn Jones shares costume ideas for a potential return to the MCU as Iron Fist. Before Marvel Studios started producing original shows on Disney+, Marvel TV was the original division that ran multiple live-action shows set in the MCU. From ABC to Netflix, Hulu, and Freeform, Marvel TV was responsible for several successful shows, including Agents of SHIELD, Daredevil, Runaways, and most of The Defenders franchise.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY One of the Marvel TV dramas that had a short and mixed run was Iron Fist, which was one of the series that led into The Defenders. Starring Jones as Danny Rand, Iron Fist season 1 was critically panned, as it was considered the weakest Defenders-related show when compared to Daredevil, Jessica Jones, and Luke Cage. Despite mixed reception, Iron Fist was renewed for season 2, which improved the show to some degree.
I'd like to try it on, but I don't know if that's something that would really resonate that well. I like the mask as well, the mask that we had in those K'un-Lun flashbacks. I thought that was really cool. But yeah, something a bit more gritty and urban, I think that feels right. I did kind of like The Defenders style costume, where it was like the hoodie and the mask and the jacket, that felt very kind of brawlerish, and that made sense for that world.
Iron Fist Return May Be Inevitable Because Of Daredevil: Born Again While Feige and Marvel Studios have not revealed any official plans for Iron Fist, his return may be inevitable. Despite being set in the MCU, the Marvel TV shows weren't referenced in the films, while the series would acknowledge various movie events. However, Phase 4 changed that when Charlie Cox's Daredevil and Vincent D'Onofrio's Kingpin returned in Spider-Man: No Way Home and Hawkeye, respectively.
The only thing that may prevent Jones from reprising his role as Iron Fist is the reception of his Netflix show. One of the main Iron Fist critiques was Jones' performance as the titular hero, partially due to his delivery of the action scenes. According to one of the show's stunt coordinators, Jones refused to do any training during Iron Fist season 1, which became evident when the series debuted on Netflix.
