They said the men spoke little English, but indicated they had come from a boat that tipped over near the peninsula and they were trying to head to the remote community of Gunbalanya, also known as Oenpelli.In a statement, an NT Police Force spokesperson said the issue was "a matter for Australian Border Force" .
"This continues the record that there has not been a single successful people smuggling venture to Australia for many years," Mr Burke said.the discovery of four men who said they were from ChinaCommunity members said it appeared women and children were on one of the boats, while the other carried men and appeared to be sinking.Remote rangers say they spotted two more illegal foreign vessels off Arnhem Land last week, including one that appeared to be carrying asylum seekers.
Ms Yarrngu said the communities were worried about what would happen if boats kept arriving "because they might try to make a home here"."It's just all over the place, we don't know what might happen."
