“To have two firearm-related offences in a short proximity of time is alarming to everyone, including the police, but it’s not something that we’re seeing a trend, it’s not retribution, they’re not connected to each other.”Thursday’s police board meeting heard that dispatched calls so far this year are up about nine per cent over the same period last year.

He gave an update on police calls from the two neighbourhoods adjacent to the Emergency Wellness Centre managed by the Saskatoon Tribal Council in a building leased from the provincial government. Clark told the board about upcoming meetings regarding places to go for people with complex needs, and said smaller, distributed places with the right types of supports and programs are needed.
