Nick Caserio scoffs at rumors, says he has no intention to leave Texans

Texans general manager Nick Caserio said he’s not going anywhere and denied a rumor that he would leave Houston to go to New England after the draft.

But Caserio began his 30-minute news conference Monday addressing rumors that he could leave, and said he wanted to get ahead of it. There was talk at the NFL combine and owners meetings among NFL personnel and agents that it was possible Caserio could leave to return to the Patriots. The Texans signed Caserio to a six-year contract when he was hired in January 2021, making him one of the highest-paid general managers in the league at the time. He had previously been with the Patriots in various roles since 2001, including director of player personnel from 2008-20.
