“I have no space for being scared.” For Ukrainian designer Anna October, fashion has taken on a deeper meaning.
Three months and a lifetime ago, around the time she turned 31 on New Year’s Eve, theAnna October had a kind of premonition. “I dreamed that I rebooted my life entirely,” she recounted at a showroom visit during Paris Fashion Week. At the time, she was thinking deeply about what was most important to her. “And now, here it is. It’s reloaded completely. Now I understand what and who. I feel a strong connection with people that I’d never imagined.”. “I saw rockets from my window,” she said.

“My aim in coming here is to help those who decided to stay, because here I have a network and resources,” October offered. Of the 12 people in her studio, most chose to remain. One woman, an accountant and stock manager, has joined the army.
