I mean, to me… Well, we cannot say for sure what F’s issues are if they exist, but it doesn’t seem like that much of a coincidence that this relationship started out with a disconnect in the understanding of what it was. Our writer basically had to reel in what she said she wanted to be doing now—seeing other people. That became an untenable situation. It was just about this person kind of foisting her vision of the relationship that they were girlfriends immediately on them.
And I think it’s worth our writer asking herself, what does she want? And then does this relationship match with it? I’m going to guess not. I’m going to guess it doesn’t match what she wants at all. But having some idea of what you want is really helpful.And I really don’t think that you can separate the dynamic from the pressure that created it. It’s like you get a diamond from pressure. Well, you got this relationship from the pressure to be monogamous, to be girlfriends immediately.
