Emergency crews estimate eastbound lanes could open before 6:30 p.m., while westbound lanes may remain closed until later Tuesday evening.
The highway is completely closed at mile marker 150 west of Wanship in Silver Creek Canyon.
Photos shared by the Park City Fire District show an overturned semi truck on the road.
