A Houston police officer has been relieved of duty after he was arrested and charged following a two-month-long investigation, according to the Houston Police Department.
According to a released statement, the Houston Police Department’s Internet Crimes Against Children Unit received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children on Jan. 7. ICAC investigators opened an investigation into the allegations and HPD’s Internal Affairs Division is also conducting an administrative investigation.
Weber was sworn in as an officer in 2016 and assigned to the Air Support Division for the department. The Houston Police Department stated that it will not comment any further as the investigation continues.
