“Dak is super, super consistent. He really is,” Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy said. “I think it’s one of his best traits, clearly. He comes to work every day, he’s here early, leaves late, does a lot of the extra after hours.” Staubach dealt with heightened expectations but eventually won a title after replacing Craig Morton in 1971. I wake up and I’m blessed. I’m blessed as hell to approach the day and attack the day.”
