The day will be sunny, warm and quiet for most of the day, but storms will move into the area starting in the afternoon. Some of the storms could be strong or severe, according to the weather service.
The greatest potential for severe storms will be after 6 p.m. through 3 a.m. Saturday. There's a greater chance of severe weather west of Interstate 45. The storms could bring strong winds and hail.Rain chances will decrease by Saturday evening. The day will be in the upper 60s and lower 70s. The temperature will start decreasing Saturday night and it could fall into the 40s in some northern parts of the Houston region. It will be warmer in Houston and towards the coast. Sunday will be warmer, with highs in the 80s.
