Even for Texas, Houston is going to be scorching hot this week, according to forecasters
The day will be hotter. Temperatures are forecasted to reach 96 degrees in Houston.
Some afternoon storms are possible in counties north of Houston, according the weather service. But for most of the area, Tuesday and the days to come will be dry.The hottest temperatures are yet to come. The weather service forecasts high temperatures above 100 degrees starting Thursday and staying there through at least Monday.
