For days, a 36-second video has been circulating showing the end of a fight between Houston rappers Z-Ro and Trae Tha Truth, and now both sides are explaining what happened in the confrontation at 50 Cent's Tycoon Houston Weekend.

Z-Ro says Trae threw the punch, then a group of people with Trae, including his brother Jay’ton, jumped him. Trae disagrees with that assessment of the incident. Z-Ro and Jay'ton also have a bitter history, and that could be what set off the tussle, which Z-Ro alluded to in the interview with Carey. Although the rappers sometimes were billed as cousins, Z-Ro has said in previous interviews they’re not related and actually first met as teenagers in the late 1990s when both were trying to get their rap careers off the ground. They teamed up on a group called ABN and released albums together. More than a decade ago, the two had a falling out and Z-Ro abruptly left Trae without an explanation.
