Police say it all started as an argument over bus fare escalated. Fortunately, the two people shot are expected to survive but the shooters remain on the loose. HPD said the suspects got off of the METRO bus at the corner of Tidwell and Bauman around 7 p.m. and asked one of the victims to also get off the bus.
However, the victim did not get off of the bus, and the male suspect then fired shots into the bus window, police say.Two women, ages 29 and 40, were shot and sent to the hospital. They are expected to survive.Anyone with information on the identities of the wanted suspects or in this case is asked to call the HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division at 308-8800 or speak anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 222-TIPS.
