1 dead, 3 arrested in series of overnight car crashes in Houston

Harris County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested two people after a woman hit a patrol car following a car chase involving a different driver around 2:16 a.m. near Will Clayton Parkway and U.S. 59 North in Montgomery County.A person was driving around 1:30 a.m. Saturday headed northbound on Studewood St. in north Houston, officials said. The driver was arrested after crashing into multiple signs and a pole, according to Metro Video.

A deputy saw a reckless driver in north Houston and turned on his lights to try to stop the driver, according to. That triggered a high-speed chase around 2:15 a.m. near Will Clayton Parkway and U.S. 59 North in Montgomery County. “The Harris County Sheriff’s Department came over here to check on deputies and the suspect to make sure everybody was OK,” said Sgt. Benoit. “An unknown driver came and ran into the back of it. She was taken to the hospital in serious condition.”

A person was speeding and lost control of their vehicle around 1:30 a.m. Saturday northbound on Studewood in north Houston, officials said.
