Martin's book Fire & Blood, House of the Dragon serves as a prequel to Game of Thrones, set 200 years before the events of the show and charting the Targaryen civil war, known as the Dance of the Dragons.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY This Sunday's House of the Dragon episode 6, "The Princess and the Queen," saw a time jump of 10 years from the previous episode, with Cooke and D'Arcy taking over their roles from Emily Carey and Milly Alcock. The show wasted no time in highlighting the hatred between the two, setting the stage for the war to come as the two brainstorm their succession plans for Viserys' inevitable death.
The Start Of The Targaryen Civil War Is Getting Close As the trailer for House of the Dragon episode 7 shows, the raging conflict between Rhaenyra and Alicent will soon become more intense. While the reverberations of this feud will undoubtedly be fatal as the show progresses, it remains to be seen what Alicent will do to hold her own in her ultimate battle against Rhaenyra.
While episode 6 only set up the conflict between Rhaenyra and Alicent, episode 7 will see their rivalry as it continues to spiral down. While Alicent may not have ordered Larys Strong to orchestrate the fire that killed Lyonel, she clearly benefited from the act. As episode 7 will see, Otto will return as the hand to the King, joining Alicent's side as they conspire to take down Rhaenyra.
