The first Phoenix holographic exhibit, at Cutler-Plotkin Jewish Heritage Center, will feature Oskar Knoblauch, a teenager during the Holocaust.
Downtown Phoenix's Jewish Heritage Center will display a local Holocaust survivor's holographic-like image and stories starting this week. The exhibit,"Stories of Survival: An Immersive Journey Through the Holocaust," opens to the public at the Cutler-Plotkin Jewish Heritage Center on Wednesday, Nov. 9.
"The survivors aren’t going to be with us much longer. Ten years from now I’ll doubt there will be very many of them left. The hologram allows Oskar … to continue to speak even when he is gone," said Heritage Center director Lawrence Bell. "How many times did mom say to us on days in the ghetto when it was horrible days, horrible days … her answer was look for the rainbow in the sky. And you know what? That rainbow was always there, but I couldn't see it," Knoblauch said."She was right."
