We need new ideas to help lower college tuition.

Like Medicare , the Department of Education can work to determine an “allowed tuition” amount by college. This could be based on historical tuition, location, degree and graduation/job placement rates among other data. If colleges want to accept federal student loans and grants, they would have to agree to accept the “allowed tuition” amount as full payment.
