He has ability to catch and play multiple positions which adds some depth to his defensive profile.”The left-handed Knapczyk is a contact-oriented hitter, but at 5-9 and 165 pounds he doesn’t drive the ball a lot. The Guardians may have to move him to second base.

His fastball has reached 97 mph. He can throw an above average slider with that. He has deception and he’s a tough guy to square up.”Wilkerson, 6-1 and 265 pounds, was 10-2 in 16 games, including 14 starts. He struck out 136 and walked 19 in 84 innings, while posting a 1.07 ERA.
Teams have until July 25 to sign their draft picks. The Guardians signing bonus pool is $8.7 million.
