The Guardians claimed Lucas Giolito, Reynaldo Lopez and Matt Moore on waivers from the Angels on Thursday.
Giolito started the season with the White Sox, but was traded to the Angels with Lopez before the deadline. When the Angels’ drive for the postseason stalled, they put six players on waivers including Giolito, Lopez and Moore. The Guardians claimed them all.
He ranks seventh in the AL in strikeouts and 10th in batting average against . He was Washington’s first round pick in the 2012.
