The sharks are off the shore as part of their annual migration.
The four sharks that have pinged off the coast are all juveniles, with the largest coming in at 9-feet, and weighing 434 pounds. But if they are moving along off the coast, there are surely others making the migration as well.
And, again, while rare, just a week ago Maggie Drozdowski, a 15-year-old surfer from Pennsylvania, was hospitalized after fighting off a shark attack at the Jersey Shore. So, if you are at the shore or headed there, it’s worth knowing the migration is underway and the big fish are out there … somewhere.
